About The Authors

“Warren Foster Sr.”

Warren Foster is the architect of the burgeoning literary and cinematic universe, Queen Khalifa: Empire of XI. His journey into the past that had been forgotten started not in a grand archive but in the quiet aisles of a school library, where a spark of curiosity led him.

Warren’s middle school teacher, Ms. Goshe, gave him an open-ended task, and he felt a strong pull toward a certain book: Thor Heyerdahl’s “The Kon-Tiki Expedition.” This seminal work, detailing a daring voyage across the Pacific, became his portal into a profound realization—that historical narratives are often curated through a singular, Euro-centric lens, one that has systematically obscured the brilliance of Black and Brown civilizations. He became very determined to find the hidden threads of the past after this early awakening. He became dedicated to finding the truth and combating the harmful, false information that clouds our memories. The story of Queen Khalifa, the warrior queen after whom California is named, exemplifies the importance of uncovering and sharing untold histories.

Through his writing and the forthcoming motion picture, Warren Foster endeavors to illuminate these hidden corridors of history. He combines careful study with beautiful storytelling not only to question the accepted canon but also to spark a new era of understanding. In this world, every child can see the great things their ancestors did, shown in the light of truth.

“Oji Samuel Blackston”

Oji Samuel Blackston is a distinguished storyteller whose life is marked by service, study, and a deep commitment to cultural heritage. He is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a respected teacher, and a creative producer. His journey shows how he has spent his whole life seeking truth and expression. His journey started in Baltimore, Maryland, and ended in the middle of Bel Air, where he built his character. He did his job and served with honor in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. There, he learned unwavering discipline that would help him in everything he did afterward. When Oji returned to normal life, his intellectual interests led him westward. After obtaining more technical schooling, he attended San Francisco State University and earned his master’s degree, gaining insight into California’s rich cultural history. Here, he formed a groundbreaking creative relationship with Warren Foster that led to the creation of FAD Productions. A first-place Bay Area Cable Excellence Award was presented to their Juneteenth documentary for their collaborative effort to bring important stories to light. Oji’s deep love for stories found a powerful outlet in school. As a drama teacher at Contra Costa Community College, he encouraged his students to use their imagination. As a TV production mentor at Laney College, he helped aspiring media professionals. Later, he brought his huge love of learning to elementary school, where he shaped the minds of kids at Nystrom Elementary. In 2018, he retired after a long and successful career.
